The Steering Committee provides leadership, guidance, and support for all chapter activities of Women's Connection Chicago. Each committee member brings unique skills and perspectives, contributing to a vibrant, inclusive, and well-organized chapter. The following Steering Committee positions are open.

Treasurer
The Treasurer partners closely with the National Women’s Connection Treasurer to support the financial administration of the Chicago Women’s Connection chapter. Responsibilities include reviewing reimbursement requests, sharing account balance updates, distributing financial reports, and assisting with the annual budget process. This role helps ensure clear communication and financial transparency while supporting the chapter’s mission and programs. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, comfortable using spreadsheets and online systems, and interested in collaborative financial oversight.
Digital Communications Co-Chair
This co-chair role supports the Chicago Women’s Connection website, newsletters, and digital communications, helping keep members informed and engaged. Responsibilities include coordinating website updates, supporting Event Ninjas (event creators), assisting with social media promotion, and helping create clear training materials for members and administrators. The co-chair will work closely with the current chairperson with the opportunity to eventually transition into the Steering Committee Chair position. Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills are helpful, along with enthusiasm for CWC’s mission and programs.
Explore Chicago Chair
The Explore Chicago Chair oversees a committee that organizes museum visits, tours, performances, workshops, neighborhood explorations, and other unique events that help members discover Chicago’s cultural, historical, and creative offerings. Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, supporting event planning and logistics, building relationships with local venues and organizations, and helping create a diverse and welcoming calendar of experiences. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, community-oriented, and excited to foster member engagement through exploration and connection.
