Why Give to Women's Connection?

Women’s Connection is a community built by women for womenand that makes us a safe, warm place where we really get to know each other. The time and creative energy members contribute to their chapters enable us to offer fun and inspiring programs, opportunities to give back to our communities, and meaningful connections with each other at a time of life when these things matter more than ever.

But volunteers can't provide everything we need. Dues and donations are essential components of our viability, both present and future.

Dues keep our engines running. They pay for the shared infrastructure that enables us to exist legally and sustainably as a national nonprofit organization. Expenses include the cost of annual filings with state regulators; the accounting firm that reviews our financial statements and files our tax returns; compensation for our executive director and bookkeeper; licensing of our website and the system that keeps our database and financial transactions secure; technical and legal support; and marketing outreach aimed at attracting new members.

Donations enable us to provide for our future. Like any other organization, we must make investments to ensure that we remain strong and have the capabilities we'll need for future generations of women. Among other things, this means continually enhancing our offerings, fortifying our technology, easing the load carried by our volunteers, and providing scholarships to women who otherwise couldn’t afford to belong.

Establish a lasting legacy with an endowment.

An endowment is a permanent fund that provides ongoing support for an organization. You can create an endowment in your name, or you can name it in honor of a loved one. It's also possible to specify how you want the money to be used. Darla Hastings, our Executive Director, will guide you through the process of setting up an endowment. Write to her at darla.hastings@womenconnecting.org or call her at 781-799-2202.
