DC Prevention of Blindness - Eyewear “Sorting” Volunteer Experience
About this event

BE A VISIONARY!
Give the gift of sight. Please join us to help sort used eyewear for distribution to those in need.
Women’s Connection members are invited to a volunteer opportunity with the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB), followed by lunch (self-pay) at a Union Station eatery. Every year, POB collects thousands of eyeglasses to be cleaned, sorted, and prepared for distribution to those in need—locally and internationally. With your help, used eyewear will have a second life. Often, we join another group, such as a sorority, which adds to the fun atmosphere.
No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to help!
