Philadelphia boasts the most historic square mile in the United States. Come join us for this 90-minute walking tour to learn more about what's right in our own backyard. From the American Revolution to stories about our founding fathers (and mothers!), together with some public art - murals, sculptures and a mosaic - along the way. We've got it all.
This private tour will cover important 18th century architectural buildings (and their significance) and what led to the American Revolution, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and Philadelphia as the capital of the United States.
The tour will be given by Alexandra Morigi, a certified tour guide, Vice President of the Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides, and a Women's Connection member. Alex has lived in Philadelphia for nearly 30 years and enjoys giving history and mural tours.
The route will begin at the Mexican restaurant, Las Bugambilias (15 S. 3rd Street), with the option for you to come early and have lunch. It will end at the Independence Visitor Center (599 Market Street, Phila) and will happen, rain or shine!
This is a repeat of the morning tour.
Please note that the cancellation deadline is 9/11/26. Should you need to cancel before this date, credit will be issued to your WC account, to be used for future purchases.
Also note that by registering for this event you will be granting your permission to have your image in photos used for Women's Connection publicity purposes. Please notify the event organizer should you prefer not to be included.
