Come join your Women's Connection Chicago friends for Happy Hour at the LaSalle Autograph Hotel, located in the heart of Chicago's Financial District. The large and inviting bar is located on the 21st floor.
Over the past several months, nearly half of all Happy Hour registrations resulted in cancellations, many occurring too late for members on the waitlist to take advantage of the openings. To help reduce last-minute cancellations and give more members the opportunity to attend, we have introduced a $5 registration fee.
The goal of this small fee is not to generate revenue. It's to encourage members to register only when they expect to attend and to cancel as early as possible if their plans change, giving members on the waitlist a fair opportunity to participate. The $5 registration fee will be used to provide appetizers at Happy Hour. Any remaining funds will be donated to the nonprofit organizations supported by our Community Impact group.
This approach has worked well for other Women's Connection chapters. For example, the New York chapter charges $12 for Happy Hour registrations and has found it effective in reducing cancellations.
The $5 fee is non-refundable if you cancel, so please register only if you expect to attend. If your plans do change, please cancel as early as possible so someone on the waitlist has the opportunity to join.
If an event is full, we encourage you to join the waitlist. Openings occur regularly, and many members are able to attend from the waitlist.
