You Make A Big Good: A Journey With Alzheimer’s
Hosts: Kim Kiehl
Date: Monday, January 19, 2026
Time: 6 pm - 8 pm
Location: Online on Zoom
Cost: Free to members/$10 for non-members

Mary Todd will join us to share the story of the 2.5 years her husband, Jim, spent in Memory Care. The story is drawn from diaries that she kept, so, in a way, she and Jim are co-authors. She describes those years as “a journey of darkness and light, where moments of devastation alternate with glimpses of Jim’s true self.” Her book, You Make A Big Good: A Journey with Alzheimer’s, is a story of love and heartbreak and will offer comfort to anyone experiencing this journey. The book can be purchased from Amazon or Balboa Press.
Mary Todd was an administrator and Director of Career Services at Bunker Hill Community College for over 20 years. She is a hospice volunteer and an end-of-life doula in her community.
Videoconference information will be provided in an email once payment is received.
