NYC (P) Volunteer Opportunity – National Council of Jewish Women NY Food Pantry (11am)
About this event
Monday, January 26, 2026, 11:00 AM
The National Council of Jewish Women of New York (NCJW NY) is seeking volunteers for their weekly Food Pantry. Volunteers work to help clients navigate the Pantry and hand out food. NCJW NY’s Pantry utilizes a “Table-Top Shopping” method, with volunteers stationed throughout the room helping clients to choose food items and maintain a smooth flow of service. This is a rewarding hands-on volunteer experience that will allow you to directly serve New Yorkers in need.
Volunteers may also be assigned to packaging and organizing canned goods, produce or baked goods. Pantry volunteers will receive on-site training during their volunteer shift. You must be able to stand for the entire 2.5 hours. There may also be some bending involved. This is a rewarding, hands-on volunteer experience that will allow you to directly serve New Yorkers in need.
There’s room for six (6) Women’s Connection members to take part in this volunteer opportunity on Monday, January 26th, from 11:00 am-1:30 pm.
When you commit to volunteering for this organization, you are expected to be there; otherwise, they will be short-handed.
