Starting with the magnificent lobby of the breathtaking Met Opera building, this tour offers an exclusive backstage look at one of the world's premier performing arts center and a NYC icon, including visits to the scenery, costume, wig, and carpentry shops, rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms, and stage area*. A not to be missed experience!
Price: $30 per member. $40 per guest of member, maximum of 1 guest per member. No refunds or credits as the chapter must pay in advance. If the event is full, please sign up on the waitlist as we may purchase additional tickets.
An optional 11:15 am brunch has been arranged at PJ Clarke's, which is across the street from the Lincoln Center David Koch Theater. Exact address is 44 West 63rd Street, on the corner. Please bring cash to split the bill. RSVP to Rosemary.
IMPORTANT: This is an active tour of 75 - 90 minutes, mostly on your feet with very few places to sit down. There are some steps - longest flight is 36 steps - all with a handrail. After that there are three sets of steps of roughly 6 to 8 steps each, again with a handrail.
*Please note that as this is a working opera house, not all areas may be available on every tour.
