Book Club Kickoff: The Women by Kristin Hannah
Join us for the launch of Women’s Connection’s new Book Club featuring The Women by Kristin Hannah. The hostess will provide light refreshments and lead a warm and welcoming discussion. At the end of our time together, we will choose the next book along with a new discussion leader and hostess for the following gathering. Participants will be asked to host or co-host a future Book Club meeting so that we can share the fun and keep the group going.
The Women is a number one bestseller and a powerful story set during the Vietnam era. It follows Frances “Frankie” McGrath, a young nursing student who leaves her sheltered California life to serve in the Army Nurse Corps. Her journey is one of courage, friendship, and the resilience of women during a time of great division and change.
This event is hosted by Chicago Member Ellen G. at her condo in Gold Coast.
