Dance Theatre of Harlem is a dynamic force in the dance world.  Led by Philadelphia native Robert Garland, this iconic company brings unprecedented relevance to classical ballet with cutting-edge new works and timeless masterpieces performed by some of the most exceptionally trained dancers around.

Now a singular presence in the ballet world, the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company tours nationally and internationally presenting a powerful vision for ballet in the 21st century.  This 18-member, multi-ethnic company performs a forward-thinking repertoire that includes treasured classics, neoclassical works by George Balanchine and Artistic Director, Robert Garland, as well as innovative contemporary works that use the language of ballet to celebrate its founder's belief that ballet belongs to everyone.  

Plus we will gather for lunch beforehand at noon at the French-American restaurant, Louie Louie, 3611 Walnut Street, right across the street from the Annenberg Center.
