NYC (P) Volunteer Opportunity - Queens Public Library - High School & College Readiness Program
About this event
Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 1:30 - 4:30 PM
The Queens Public Library’s High School and College Readiness Team is starting a new tradition this year to celebrate Queens Public Library teens as they prepare for their post-secondary journey. The library is giving away Decision Day Kits to patrons who are pursuing college, career, a gap year, military, etc. with the supplies they may need in a new setting.

The team requests the help of volunteers to ensure the kits are packaged and mailed to the various Queens Public Library locations on time. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with the College Readiness team at Central Library to package the kits.
This volunteer opportunity is ideal for those who want to contribute to the success of an event focused on empowering young adults as they take the next steps towards their futures.
The library is looking for six volunteers during the week in the month of May. We have confirmed volunteers for Wednesday, May 21th from 1:30-4:30pm.
